I saw a curious post on NXP forums (from a NXP employee no less) that their BSP's don't officially support PPS and that one should look to LinuxPPS. So I searched the mailing list archives of both LinuxPTP and LinuxPPS and did not see any evidence of LinuxPTP using LinuxPPS or vice versa.
When I do a dmesg | grep -i pps I see: [ 0.074554] pps_core: LinuxPPS API ver. 1 registered [ 0.074561] pps_core: Software ver. 5.3.6 - Copyright 2005-2007 Rodolfo Giometti <giome...@linux.it> [ 1.256791] pps pps0: new PPS source ptp0 ... which got me to thinking, could LinuxPPS be getting in the way of the 1PPS we're trying to generate with our fec_ptp imx8mm driver? We're trying to figure out our weird issues with 1PPS using imx8mm. Wondering if CONFIG_PPS should be turned off in kernel if we are doing 1PPS with imx8 fec_php driver or is it needed?
