Hi, We have a very simple PTP Multicast setup where we have two PTP Grandmasters and a PTP slave. PTP Master 1: 172.16.10.10 PTP Master 2: 172.16.10.11 PTP Slave: 172.16.10.12
After the PTP master negotiation is done based on Announce packet details, PTP Slave starts synchronization with Master 2 on IP 172.16.10.11. We see Sync, Follow_up, Delay_Request, Delay_Response packets flowing between Slave and this master. Everything works fine. However, we also see PTP Master 1 on 172.16.10.10 is also sending PTP Delay_Response even if there are no PTP Delay_Request messages sent from PTP Slave to master 1. I am not able to find what is causing PTP Master 1 also to send PTP Delay_Response packets. Any pointers or help on this would be useful. Thanks, Ankur
