thank you for your answer.
The client is a Livox LiDAR (
https://github.com/Livox-SDK/Livox-SDK/wiki/Livox-SDK-Communication-Protocol)
which operates in the 192.168.1.x/24 subnet.
It definetly synchronizes if the PTP grandmaster's source IP address is in
the same subnet.
But PTP sync does not work if the grandmaster is in another subnet.
Just for clarification: Grandmaster and client are directly connected.
However, I will forward the issue to the manufacturer since it seems to be
an issue on their side.
