There is a weirdly behaving switch in the network (This switch is time unaware as well) that forwards the peer delay request & pdelay delay response that is not intended for the time follower that I am trying to time synchronize. I could stop pdelay request being sent from this time follower by using inhibit_delay_req and initial_delay option. But still, the ptp4l is not syncing as it receives pdelay messages through this switch. Is there a way to ignore any pdelay messages being received?

I see only 3 options in man > page (E2E (default), P2P & Auto). There is the inhibit_delay_req option. It can be combined with the initial_delay option to set the expected delay of the sync message. -- Miroslav Lichvar
