Hello.

Perhaps those of you who are more experienced with Linux can point me in
the right direction.

I'm running Fedora Core 3 64 bit on my R3000 and while most things work
fine I get the following error sometimes:

Sound server fatal error: cpu overload, aborting.

The error alert box says "Error - artsmessage" in the title bar. To a
Linux novice such as myself, this would seem to be a sound issue, but it
isn't something I can reproduce. It just happens some times when I have
a few windows (one or two instances of konqueror, 2 or 3 instances of
Firefox, terminal with a few sessions open, perhaps a chat client,
Blusfish, and Thunderbird) open for web programming. I'm connected via
nfs to the that runs my testing sites and holds the site files so I'm
not running apache or mysql on the laptop.

Got a rather minimal setup running but everyonce in a while the cpu fan
gets a cranking and the shortly thereafter this error message pops up.
It doesn't really seem to affect anything and there are ususally no
sounds being played when it happens so I'm not sure if it's a serious
issue or a minor one.

Thanks.

Dave
