Actually, reading their instructions page again, they are NOT saying
they'll replace all battery packs starting with GC/IA/L0/L1 -- all it
says is that the battery pack number will start with one of these
alphanumeric combos. I'm guessing that all of HP/Compaq batteries start
with those numbers, and that info was given just to help us find the
right number. This idea seems to be borne out by the fact that no-one on
this list (including me) has qualified so far, and they all have IDs
starting with GC.
