I'm running Breezy right now, have been for a while. No problems with
Nvidia whatsoever, but I didn't compile anything. Just did a "sudo
apt-get install nvidia-glx". Works like a peach.

I had a lot of problems upgrading my R3240, but finally got it all sorted. Very scary experience -- tons of error messages and stuff. Biggest problem was that it killed the wifi that it took me a long time to get working under Hoary with ndiswrapper.

All is well now though, except I notice that the video seems to have a lot more latency. The screen doesn't redraw quite as fast as it used to. But detecting and setting up the nVidia for 1680 x 1050 was automatic, just as it was when I first installed Hoary.

Biggest advantage for me was that I can finally install OpenOffice.org 2.0.
Just a side note if anyone is thinking of installing Breezy: the Automatix script on ubuntuforums.com is amazing, it will install pretty much everything you need to get a system off the ground.
