My .fetchmaiilrc file has the following:

poll pop.gmail.com with proto auto
user [EMAIL PROTECTED] there with the password **************** is lmcilwain 
here

I have also tried changing proto to ssl and leaving it at pop3 and
specifying port 995

poll pop.gmail.com with proto ssl
poll pop.gmail.com with proto pop3 with port 995

None seemed to work,  The fetchmail release Im running is  6.2.5+SSL+INET6
