Dear list, I left something pressing the right button of the touchpad, and now it is sending random series of messages (I have continuously appearing and disappearing right click menus) so that it is impossible to use the laptop. I had to disable it with the top on/off button and hook a usb mouse to use it. Before this I had a perfectly configured touchpad.
It behaves as if an internal mechanism of the right button got blocked in an intermediate position in which it triggers randomly (the button itself clicks as usual and it looks leveled to the left one). The rest of the mouse functions seem to work properly (tapping, left button, scrolling,...) My laptop is out of warranty. I would like to ask you: 1) had anybody this problem and had a way to fix it? 2) is it easy to open the laptop to get to the touchpad? 3) is it easy to replace the touchpad (can you buy it separately and replace it yourself? in this case, were can I get it?) 4) any other good advice?
