The drive that came with my R3240 is 4200 rpm 60 GB and I've used under 20 GB of it. So I plan to make a 60 GB partition on the new drive and clone my existing drive to it, and leave 20 GB unused for possible future experimentation with new distro releases. Or maybe (shudder) I'll use it to put Windows 2000 on, since I have a couple spare licenses. So not only do I not know if the 100 GB will fit, I am not even sure if my 80 GB will fit. However, I do know that my 80 GB Travelstar is 9.5 mm and that seems to be pretty standard these days. I will not be installing it until probably this coming weekend because a local Linux user group has a "clinic" for new users then and I will want to do it when I have clever Linux people handy. :) I'll post back with the results, of course. _______________________________________________ LinuxR3000 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pcxperience.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxr3000 Wiki at http://prinsig.se/weekee/
