I've had trouble with PCMCIA cards working on the R3000Z with Fedora Core 5. I recently got an E-mail from Red Hat's Bugzilla that many problems have been fixed in the 2.6.18 kernel. Sure enough, the PCMCIA cards I have seem to work fine now on the R3000Z with the new kernel.
