I´m using 64-bit Fedora CORE 6 on my R3000, since it came without integrated
wlan adapter, I´m using a cardbus SMC one with Atheros chipset instead, so now
I´m able to activate it via Madwifi. Consider changing wlan adapter ("Broadcow"
has a max range of +/-300 m vs Atheros: 831 m max range and hardware zip-like
compression, ) The cardbus card got mine for 27´32 at local dealer, so think of
it, you can avoid a lot of headaches, improve performance, and even you can
inject packets to a WLAN!
