Hi Alexander,

Lttng doesn't need to be in Linux Tools anymore. We'll look at removing the
lttng/ code shortly (today or tomorrow). I also think it's worth the major
version bump.

Subject: [linuxtools-dev] Linux Tools Mars release

As our 3.2 release is out the plan is to have 4.0 released for Mars.
Even if we don't plan to do any major API breaking changes having lttng growing
into its own project (now Trace Compass) is worth major version bump.
I'm about to update our target definition to follow Platform 4.5 Milestone
builds next week, together with whatever other update is needed to follow Mars.
The question I have is what is the status with Lttng:
* Does it still have to be compiled as part of Linux Tools? If the answer is no
I would go on and axe it from master branch builds and skip it's dependencies
in the Mars target.
If parts of it still have to be compiled as part of Linux Tools please someone
deep in the stuff remove the stuff that's now in Trace Compass from compilation.
Linux Tools M6 contribution has to be cleared pretty soon so I would appreciate
quick actions.
