Well, it was before my time so i dont know the timeframe offhand. I heard of PC-IX only because MINIX was developed in PC-IX (ast, _Operating_Systems_, appendix D, 1987) - The AST book does not say which year he started to develop MINIX, never mind which year PC-IX was released. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTERACTIVE_Systems_Corporation says 1977 < Y < 1988 http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/showthread.php?t=11151 says PC-IX was available in 1984, and "This product preceded XENIX and ran on a monochrome PC/XT" Hmm, the quote above doesnt seem to match the Levenez chart http://www.levenez.com/unix/ which however does appear to give us a date of 1982 for PC/IX.
