Y2007 was also the first year I outsourced tax accounting to a CPA,
having previously done it myself. First meeting with CPA, I brought
folder of papers, a CD of data, and a CD of software (GnuCash, OpenOffice,
Gnumeric, etc.); we installed GnuCash on her computer.
Y2008, second year with same accountant, she sent us a "2008 tax organizer"
wad of paper form, which appears to be the same form she sends to all ongoing
clients, so i turned in "tax organizer" with folder of papers, data CD,
and software CD. Dunno whether she opened the GnuCash file this year or not.
We have done only tax, not other accounting issues, with accountant,
up to this point.
