How can they not be compared to this type of fanaticism? While Linux users might not be the "teenagers fawning over the latests music sensation" they certainly are the grumpy old guys that only see things one way... they are both extremes. Not every Mac user is a nut just like every Linux user isn't, but to say Linux fans cant be compared to these types of people is IMO completely wrong. Hardcore Linux fans just like hardcore Mac fans have the shirts, the stickers, the geeky jokes, and the over the top attitudes about their distros and the attitude that anything but their OS is the right OS and other operating systems suck.
