I have not had suspend/hibernate problems with the last two or three
versions of ubuntu on my t61p or my x41t.  I do not remember the last
time I had a suspend/hibernate issue on a Desktop.  The fix that Chris
is suggesting is simple.  It would be good to mention this bug/fix on
launchpad or to the Linux Thinkpad list
