One of my clients just sent me this email. What's all of your takes on Google. Me, as you see I use them and where I work 9-5 we use Google apps.
I use Gmail... Google's email product for my business email. Initially, I had no interest in this product since I had used MS Outlook - literally for decades. But! I got a new Android phone about a year ago and when I got it, the only way I could synchronize my email and contacts and appointments from my PC was through Gmail. And while Gmail has it's own set of idiosyncrasies, it's not bad - and I could synchronize with my PC, and that was critical to me. Well, today, scanning my good friend Drudge, I encountered the following article: Why do we let this creepy company called Google spy on our emails? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1337837/Google-Why-let-creepy-company-spy-emails.html#ixzz183RLE8By And if you are using or considering using Gmail, I suggest you too read this article. I've known for some time that Google had it's own little invasive way of tracking what I did on my browser... but scanning my email - to me - is going just a tad too far. So I did some research and since the Android has been out for a while, there are now excellent products that will synchronize with my PC. As a result, I plan to dump Gmail and go back to Outlook. I also plan to look into ways to avoid sharing which sites I browse... methinks our ultra liberal left wing friends at Google have gone just a tad too far with tracking what I do on the Internet! If you are using or considering using Gmail, you might want to think about this also.
