I recently shot myself in the foot with an Ubuntu 8.10 caliber round
and had to fall back (reinstall) Ubuntu 8.04 (all fixes installed).
Prior to the reinstall I had streaming sound in Firefox, but since I
reinstalled I cannot get sound from one site. I use the stream from
WCNYFM OK and the sound is fine. However, I like a station out of
Maine called WBach (http://www.wbachradio.com/index.php), and since
the reinstall I cannot get the sound working from their online feed.
How can I approach this problem in a logical manner to figure out what
I need to install or configure to get my sound back? I have MPlayer
installed and that works for WCNY. I think that WBach is using Flash,
but I don't know if the sound issue is Flash.
A search in Synaptic for Flash shows the following installed:
Adobe Flash Player plugin v.10
Flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.152.0
gnash
gnash-common
libflash support 1.9-0
libswfdec-0.6.4-2
swfdec-mozilla
ubuntu-restricted extras 15.2
Any advice will be greatly appreciatedl
Thanks, Matt
