Dude - uncalled for. Debian is a leftist distro, for sure. The goal is that
no matter the outside support (or lack thereof) for anything, no matter the
corporate mind changes, etc, Debian will continue to be free for always and
forever (and not just free as in beer).

I'm a debian user, and happen to love helping people out with it when they
need it. (Just finished doing that, as a matter of fact). There are debian
users who have a severe case of cranio-anal inversion, just as there are
gentoo, arch, centos, suse, mandriva, you-name-it users with the same
affliction. That doesn't mean you can't find help installing debian.

That said, Ubuntu's default installer results in a much simpler install that
"Just works" for many more users than Debian. Different philosophy and all
that. As a result, most linux desktop vendors would rather sell Ubuntu than
Debian.

If you buy a desktop with Ubuntu, there's a great chance you'll be able to
install Debian on it with minimal headache (or just use Ubuntu, since
administration will be very similar).
