That's a very odd bug... 3 of the 4 computers I've used a 64-bit
kernel on have 4G of ram and they all seem to run fine. My friends
report the same thing.

Could be a problem with a specific CPU/chipset combination.. that
would be most unfortunate. I hope you will add your story to that bug
on launchpad.
