I'm working on binding Ubuntu machines to a Active Directory domain.
I want to have a default layout that a new user will see, the first
time they log in. Example: Hide Evolution Mail Client and other
applications in the menu, have a certain scenery picture in the
background, have the theme be different than "Human", etc...

Some people have told me that you should be able to complete this with
a bash script. But my unanswered questions have always been; "Well,
how do I do that?" "Where does ubuntu or other flavors run their
script when a new user is created?" Due to non-interest no one (friend
wise) really wants to help me research this...

and yes.. I have Googled this. I have not found any answers that
particularly answer this question. If I can just be pointed in the
right direction, I can take care of the rest.

Thanks
