   Ah shucks, I think AMD stopped supporting that chip w/ the 9.3
driver. Only the open source driver is available if I remember
correctly.
   What is the theoretical maximum resolution of the laptop? Can you
give the output of "xrander" ? For example mine says

[keren...@sidux:~]$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1280 x 1280
VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

My memory is that the graphical installer auto-detected my screen
resolution correctly. My Fedora 12 seems not to have an xorg.conf; I'd
attach it otherwise.
