I have heard a lot of buzz among my clients about Sharepoint. As a Microsoft Partner (and a pretty inactive one, at that), I thought it might be good to look into it. So I started googling a bit, and it's one big YAWN.
A few months ago, I installed a linux server for a new client. This company uses it solely to share documents, but they are forever frustrated that when they open a document, the doc is read-only. It's a relatively minor annoyance, but still. So I googled for a linux alternative to Sharepoint (b/c there's just about always an alternative) and came across alfresco.com. Without knowing anything about either sharepoint or alfresco, can I ask your collective genius about your opinions and experience w/ either/both?
