have an ageing Panasonic CF 27 toughbook (PII 300 Mhz, 4 Gb hdd.
197Mb ram). I tried out the live distro of Pc LinuxOS 2007 and it
found the pcmcia MSI wireless card when it booted asked for wep key
etc and I was able to browse the web straight away. I thought it was
really good so I went ahead and installed it to the hard drive.
However when I installed it I expected that the wireless card would
be
found and useable as per the live version but it does not find it on
booting and I cannot get it to work. I think it 'sees' the card but
have no knowledge how to get it to work. Its really annoying as I
thought the live distro was to try the version out before installing
but it hasn't worked out that way. Can anyone help please. This is my
first 'toe in the Linux sea' so if you can help please write your
answer in very easy terms. Thanks
