Speedtest on the website is different from the real speed you utilize.
these sites will give you prospective or assumption or either we can
say a near the value. for the 2nd question.(scripting) we can write
shell scripting for monitoring the speed of internet. but i advice you
tat instead of monitoring through scripting you can try stopping all
the unwanted services. then open browser goto some command sites like
(cnet, microsoft, redhat & etc.) and try download some file so tat u
can know actual download speed.
As for broadband concern it will always fluctuate. since its a
shared one. let me know if you require more information or
