I recently installed Arch on my laptop. I'm trying to configure autofs to mount a ntfs filesystem on an external hard drive. I'm pretty sure I followed what the wiki tells me to do. I'm having no success.
Here are the contents of my auto.master file: # Sample auto.master file # Format of this file: # mountpoint map options # For details of the format look at autofs(5). #/media /etc/autofs/auto.media /media/misc /etc/autofs/auto.misc --timeout=5 --ghost /media/net /etc/autofs/auto.net --timeout=60 --ghost /net -hosts Here's my auto.misc: # This is an automounter map and it has the following format # key [ -mount-options-separated-by-comma ] location # Details may be found in the autofs(5) manpage cdrom -fstype=iso9660,ro,nodev,nosuid :/dev/cdrom floppy -fstype=auto,async,nodev,nosuid,umask=000 :/dev/fl usbstick -fstype=auto,async,nodev,nosuid,umask=000 :/dev/sda1 exthd -fstype=auto :/dev/sdb1 I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. -- <>< Scott Vargovich <>< ------------------------------------------ OpenPGP Key ID: F8F5DC7E ------------------------------------------ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
