Hi

Is there any possibility to extend logical volume from free space
available from any Volume Group in Redhat Linux?

This question sounds not logical as far as LVM is concerned? This
questions sound silly.

But i want to explain the practical aspects of this question.

I have vg0 and vg1 - 2 volume groups

Am having logical volume named export in vg0 ( /dev/vg0/export)

and another logical volume named something from vg1 ( /dev/vg1/
something )

Now want to reduce disk space from /export from one volume group and
give it to another volume group vg1 so that I can increase /dev/vg1/
something.

Thing is reducing disk space from /export(from vg0) and giving it to /
something(vg1) and extending /something.

Simple solution can be adding one more hard disk to vg1 but other than
that any other possibilities?

Please any pointers on this and its highly appreciable.

Thanks
KK
