Ok, so I have dabbled in Linux, particularly Ubuntu server LTS, for a couple of years. I am still very green.
I have a business need to configure a proxy server to add to my LAN that will act as a man in the middle server and bump up my traffic security from SSL to TLS 1.2. [Client] --->SSL/Strong encryption---> [Squid proxy] --------->TLS 1.2 via port 443------>Internet [--------------------LAN----------------------------------------------][Out firewall to Internet / remote server] I have attempted to deploy and configure squid and it is simply over my head. I am now to a point where I am willing to contract with someone to build what I need. The pay is good. I need squid to accept the traffic that is proxied to it from a particular (undisclosed) software and re-wrap it in TLS 1.2 before routing out. Squid needs to log everything. I would also need a procedure developed including steps taken and commands ran so that I may duplicate the build. Is anyone willing to hold my hand through configuring this or does someone want to contract to build this for me?
