Welcome to the group! sudo - run a command as root user, privileged. sh - run the command with the /bin/sh shell instead of the normal /bin/bash shell. -r trusty - will run for the Trusty version of Ubuntu version 14 -t lxde, xiwi are desktop environments, documentation shows this is to install the support for those two DEs.
The article says this command "sudo sh ~/Downloads/crouton -r trusty -t lxde, xiwi -n testchroot" will "create a new chroot named testchroot with the LXDE desktop". Now that we broke it down, does it make sense?
