Hello, If there is an entry in fstab it must auto ON while reboot. Why there is double entry of SWAP in fstab, one commented, try keeping one entry. what is the output of "# fdisk -l", check for proper file-system in fdisk -l that your swap shows /dev/sda2. Also check e2label on /dev/sda2, it must give bad magic number.......! Show your full fstab. Check # cat /proc/swaps Mubeen.
