Hey.. revisiting this topic. I want to get my hands dirty with VPN-server on Linux. Just out of interest (and redundancy). We do have a VPN running our Windows already and it's user authentication is from an AD.
Now, I am in a position were I dont understand where to head. I think I should go with PPTP VPN. Mainly because I am not sure whether other protocols are well supported on Windows clients. Which application are available and if any one of you have worked on this before, what would be your suggestion? Can I import Active Directory details in to Linux and use it for authentication with Linux-VPN server ? If so, what is needed? Please provide me package names and few reference links that is favorite to you. I request all to refrain from just posting any google searched links. Primarily, because it deviates focus when content is loosely related. Thanks!
