Hello !

Here is the solution to my previous wicked problem (when the cursor and the
drawing were offset in gimp/inkscape on my dual-head setup) :

I just inverted the connections of the two screens, renamed the screens in the
xorg.conf, and everything went back to normal !

still had a few problems with xinerama/twinview (the same problems actually, so
i switched back to twinview which gives a largely better display and speed). I
had to lock the cursor to the first screen, on the left, or it doesn't work,
but that's way better than nothing...

So add this to the tips you give to people with problems with dual-head ! "did
you try to switch the two screens?"

(sounds like "did you try to turn it off and on again ?" ;)
