I haven't understood the issue... by the way the default Debian installation - when installing xserver-xorg-input-wacom - sets up /dev/input/wacom as a symlink to the udev'd correct event device name. So I just have to edit xorg.conf adding the device lines, and nothing more. Ciao ~marco
