Hello Helmut, > I'm very interested in the internal Profile material
If someone wants to scan these ProFile hard drive technical materials that would be fine with me. I can send someone them and if I can receive materials and the scanned graphic files back that would be great. I would like the scans to be made at 300 dpi 1-bit per pixel (black/write) mode and the output files (for my use at leat) to be in graphic files such as TIFF. I have aprogram that can convert these graphic files to very nice looking PDF files. Where do you live? > By the way: Is it ok to copy the LLF EPROMs I can't answer this since I don't work for Apple, but suspect no one at Apple cares anymore about stuff like this. - David Craig ---------- >From: "Dr. Helmut Post" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "LisaList" <lisalist@mail.maclaunch.com> >Subject: Re: Lisa 2/5 Profiles crash - ProFile formatting >Date: Sun, Oct 23, 2005, 1:10 AM > > Hello David, > many Thanks for your help! > > I'm very interested in the internal Profile materials- how can I get it from > you ? > By the way: Is it ok to copy the LLF EPROMs for everyone who needs it to > repair his Profile hard disk? > I think that Apple's copyrights for the Profile (and Widget?) ended in 1998- > there shouldn't be any legal problems- do you know more about this problem? > >> >> The same applies also to the >> Widget drive in the Lisa. > > No, this is not true: You need a modified Lisa with an Apple internal LLF > utility to perform a Low Level Format. > I know an Apple technician who has repaired my widget and performed a LLF. > He won't give away his knowledge or the utility software. > > > Thanks in advance, > > Helmut Post > > P.S.: Do you know my friend Patrick Schäfer ?
