Probably not as much as you think. If you check my systems, I take
great pains to avoid some of those pitfalls. Just because I'm trying to
integrate various systems doesn't mean they become homogenous. I *hate*
styled text and HTML in mail lists, for instance. You won't see that
stuff any time soon, but that doesn't mean you can't build systems that
take advantage of those things for technologies where they belong.....
Just because I'm pulling things together doesn't mean they all get
wedged into the same paradigm. Just that they get integrated.....

I'm not looking for an integrated client. I'm looking for an integrated
system that delivers content to a users preferred client. Very
different things. One piece of content, multiple access points, by
user's preference. Delivered as appropriate.
