FYI, I sent the following email to the listed domain owner of
geocrawler (it's a bit heavy handed to go to valueclick without first
contacting the possible copyright violator first.):

Hi,
I've heard a rumor that your site geocralwer.com archives mailing
lists without getting permission from the list owner. Mailing lists
are copyrighted. (Just the same as print newsletters). Is this rumor
true?
I also see that you use valueclick.com as your advertiser. When you
joined, you agreed that:
"Content Copyright. You guarantee that all content on your site is
legal to distribute and that you own or have the legal right to use
any and all copyrighted material. "
I just wondered if you were aware that mailing lists, like print
newsletters are copyrighted materials and that you can't republish
them without getting permission and also whether it was true you were
archiving lists without asking the owner first.
Just some friendly advice, and heads up about the rumor (I'm sure it
must not be true),
