Hi there,
As has been noted AD HOMINEM attacks are none to helpful. They also
constitute an instance of fallacious reasoning (see
http://www.fallacies.org for details).

Having run a few lists in my time, there are two things which are bad
for the health of a list:

(1) Flame wars
(2) Discussions of what is and is not appropriate on a list

It is ironic that list-managers should exhibit these symptoms.

Please folks, be nasty to each other all you wish, but do it in private.
I have a whole bunch of "Mail Delivery Errors" also polluting my inbox.
They are almost as interesting as the current slug fest. Let us not, as
list managers degenerate into the kind of behaviour which we have to
chastise subscribers for.

Hmm, maybe one of our protagonists is an AOL plant... ;)

All the best,

Istvan
