So do I, but I frequently find that what I wrote for one venue needs to be tweaked slightly to suit the place where the person wants to repost it (for example, because the context of earlier posts in the thread in the original forum would be unknown there), so more often than not I make some small changes to it and ask the reposter to use the modified version. That's yet another reason to consult with the author first.
