Exactly! I have a new or updated book come out three or four times a year,
and I'd never dream of announcing to this list, because they aren't about
mailing list management. There may be a spate of online community books,
but most of the new ones seem to be about ways to trick people into
spending more time on your Web site, viewing banner ads, by offering
message boards. John and I refused to limit our book to coverage of
Web-based stuff, since we feel that real online community happens in
mailings and newsgroups.
