I _think_ James was asking the question in reference to the TOC's header,
not the main emails, based on the context of the message. That is, assuming
the TOC was not text/plain but rather compliant message/rfc822 it would need
a minimum set of header fields, and his question appeared to me to be asking
to what to set the TOC message's From:. See Message-id:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> for his description
of a possible multipart/digest message format that includes the TOC as a
valid message/rfc822 (and one I am going to test to see what happens).

I admit to being rather confused as to _why_ he would ask, though, since
any mailer that would send a bounce message to a nested From: would be almost
too broken to survive, and would probably be sending error reports to
_anyone_ who posted a message in the issue. Maybe you're right, and I
misunderstood his question.

         Charlie
