I'm subbed to both post by post and digest versions of a
few lists. So it might be helpful to explain my reasoning
(although I obviously can't speak for anyone else :))...
I normally read the digest for these lists rather than the
post by post versions. However, if I want to *save* a
particular message to go back to, it makes life easier for
me to save an individual post rather than an entire digest
or to edit a digest.
