If you copy the Application scope structure and pass it into the CFC, you're fine, but what I did was decided to make the objects in a couple of my projects a little more "dumb" than they otherwise would be, and have static helper classes handle all the database interaction. Worked well, and even with this as well as the super limitation, CFCs were still a godsend on a couple of large projects that would have been far nastier in CF5.
Now I'm tempted to drop what I'm doing and test this out--I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is fixed.

I'd forgotten hearing about that... wasn't that part of the same page context(?) bug where the server stamped the cfc with the request it was created on so if you stashed the cfc in the application scope you didn't get display from it after the fact? ... Or were those separate issues? ... I knew there were good reasons I'd stayed away from doing much with MX until now. :)
