Gary,

How do you set someone as "logged in" on your site? Do you set a session
variable or a client variable...? Whatever it is that you setup to let you know
that a login was successful needs to be checked in application.cfm. So, for
example, if you set session.userloggedin = 1 when someone successfully logs in,
then on application.cfm, you need to check to see if this variable exists and
is set to 1 or not. If not, just cflocate them to the login page.

<cfif not session.userloggedin>
        <cflocation url="yourloginpagehere">
</cfif>

Subject: Application.cfm...

Is there a way to set up my Application.cfm file that will check to see if a
user is logged in and, if not, redirect the URL to the main log in page for
users who try to "back door" into the system? Currently, I am performing a
check on the definition of a valid security level on each and every page. But
I thought there might be an easier way.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have not failed. I've found 10,000 ways that won't work.
