The default encoding for CFMX is UTF-8

using CF5 in DB (SQL Server 2000) is now not displaying correctly on .cfm
pages in MX. All multi-byte characters are displaying corrupt. Following
is an example: Japanese string with CF 5 looks like: 'ãããçãç' (img1.gif) same string with CF MX now looks like 'c
What has gone wrong here? What changes do I have to do to fix this? Why
doesn't CFMX understand the encoding? Any help on this topic will be highly appreciated! Currently, this is
