Fantastic. I'm always looking for
these reference sites, but usually coming up empty.
Thanks.

Gary:
Here is a great client side JS library (called qForms). I have
been using it for years. Lots of capabilities and very easy to
implement:
Good luck,

Client side _javascript_ is
preferred.

Gary,
Are you looking at
client side or server side? Server side I would use something like the
following regular _expression_ CF code:
<cfset testResult
= reFind("[a-zA-Z0-9]*", inputVar, 1,
"true")>
<cfif
testStruct.len[1] neq len(inputVar)>
<!--- other characters than letters and numbers are in the string
--->
</cfif>
Client side use
_javascript_ and a similar regular _expression_ check.
Now if someone knows
how to use a negation operation in a regular _expression_ it gets a lot
easier...
Tom
How would I perform a simple validation
to ensure that a form field entry contains only numbers and/or letters (no
special characters or spaces)?
