No, I didn't. All I did was install CF on a machine running Apache
2.0.52 and run the Web Server Configuration Tool. That's all.

What's even worse, I just reinstalled from scratch and ran the wsconfig
again. Now I no longer get "JRun Servlet Error 404 NULL" -- now I get
"JRun Servlet Error 500 Unknown tag: cfdump" when I surf to test.cfm.
Below is the code for test.cfm.

<cfdump var="#server#">

Now, if I change that to:

<cfoutput>#server.os.name#</cfoutput>

It works and Windows XP is printed on the screen. Still, I have the
CFIDE directory in the proper place, but when I go to
cfide/administrator/index.cfm I only get the 500 NULL error. Does anyone
have any idea what's going on???

Subject: RE: MX 7 and Apache 2...

Did you edit the server settings via JRUN Management Console? If so,
there's a known bug where JRUN rewrites jvm.config wrong. It transposes
arguments passed to VM section:

GOOD:
# Arguments to VM
java.args=-server -Xmx512m -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false
-XX:MaxPermSize=128m -XX:+UseParallelGC -DJINTEGRA_NATIVE_MODE
-DJINTEGRA_PREFETCH_ENUMS -Dcoldfusion.rootDir={application.home}/

BAD:
# Arguments to VM
java.args=-Xmx512m -server -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false
-XX:MaxPermSize=128m -XX:+UseParallelGC -DJINTEGRA_NATIVE_MODE
-DJINTEGRA_PREFETCH_ENUMS -Dcoldfusion.rootDir={application.home}/

It transposes -server and - Xmx512m. -server has to be the first
argument.

Not sure if this solves your problem.

Thanks

Subject: MX 7 and Apache 2...

I am having a hell of a time getting my MX 7 installation to work on
Apache 2 (on windows). Has anyone had any luck? I have installed and
reinstalled a couple of times with no success. I've done it using the
wsconfig and I've done it manually, but still when I go to my
cfide/administrator or even just a test.cfm file in my webroot, I only
get a "JRUN Servlet Error 404 NULL" error page. Anybody know what's
going on here???

Thanks,
Ferg
