Mike, are you trying to setup component packages that you can place anywhere and not have to setup a mapping? If so, please let me know if you find any useful methods. I recently tried the same thing, but gave up shortly.

It never hurts to validate assumptions someone is making, that is often where the problem lies. Yes, we have verified the value of the request variable by creating a function to output the request variable. And, the component does exist there as we can call the component successfully when hardcoding the path. It is probably like Dan says and they must be hardcoded. We just wanted to verify this outside ourselves.
