I know sites like ofoto.com (now kodakgallery.com) use web interfaced image editing. It’s a flash-based tool, but not sure who makes it or if it’s proprietary. Brad

Has anyone come across an application that will allow a web user to upload an image and then manipulate it online. The following example will explain it better.
The best example is a dating site. I'd like a user to be able to upload their photo into some Java/Flash program where they could zoom in/out, move it right/left and then crop the photo to fit a programmed size (200px by 200px). Right now the server just resizes the width to 200px when they upload an image. But, several people scan in their photo with all the white space around it so when they upload the image you get a white box with a small photo at the top left (see link below). Some upload the images upside down, etc. Attached is an image of what I think the app would look like.
If an app like this exists please let me know. If not, for anyone who could write an app like this I think it would sell!
