OK, I read this really quickly earlier. You're running cfldap against
a mail server? What type of mail server? Typically cfldap would be
used against an LDAP server or Active Directory. Does your mail
server have the ability to respond to LDAP queries? The error says
perhaps you don't have permissions--when you say you can do the search
using ASP, are you also doing an LDAP query in that case?

Sorry for all the questions--just trying to figure out exactly what
you're doing. And forgive my ignorance about running LDAP against a
mail server if that's possible, I've just never done that so it
sounded a bit odd to me. I've just always run cfldap against our
enterprise directory.
